What is an Extrapolent™? A Deeper Look at How Our Blended Formulas Are Created

An Extrapolent (ik•strap'•ō•lĕnt) is an exclusive Balance Blends combination of herbal extracts and modern-day supplements to help recalibrate imbalanced Qi (pronounced chē, aka energy). In short, it's our unique way of delivering the best of both Eastern and Western worlds.

Chinese herbs have been used for generations to restore balance to the mind and body. They work by impacting the organ meridian systems believed to affect everyday health concerns such as excess stress, occasional insomnia, menstrual cramping, acne and a weakened immune system.

While many supplements contain one herb ground into powder, Extrapolents contain multiple concentrated extracts of the most powerful herbs in Traditional Chinese Medicine, plus vitamins and amino acids for maximum health benefits.

Our founder, Dr. Colette Widrin, designs each formula by choosing ingredients known to complement or enhance one another based on their clinically relevant properties. For example, Zizyphus (Suan Zao Ren) and Fleeceflower Caulis (Ye Jiao Teng) both have relaxing, sleep-deepening properties, which is why they are two of the eight herbs in our Quiet Please formula.

Each herb we use is authentic and of the highest quality, as well as prepared using ancient Chinese Pao Zhi techniques to enhance health benefits. Through a patented extraction process, the herbs are transformed into concentrated herbal liquids, combined with solid versions of the same herbs and blended with therapeutic vitamins or amino acids for a more potent, diverse effect.
